Grindstone Award Foundation stands behind #ForTheGame women’s hockey movement

The Grindstone Award Foundation is standing with the 200 professional women’s hockey players who announced they will not play in any league in North America this season until they get the equality they deserve as athletes.

“The players have spoken and have banded together to take a stand, collectively. This is the time and the Grindstone Award Foundation will be right here supporting them all,” said Grindstone president and founder Danielle Grundy. “We are so proud of all the players who are stepping up to do what they believe is right and what Grindstone believes needs to be done. The time is now to fight for the future of hockey.”
We hope this is will spark the change that we all need to see – more importantly, financial backers such as the NHL. The time is now!
