SATINDER GREWAL

DIRECTOR, FUNDRAISING

Satinder was born and raised in Vancouver, BC, where watching hockey was a staple in her family—her dad and brother didn’t miss a single Canucks game! She herself didn’t start playing ice hockey, ball hockey, and floor hockey until much later in life, and she fell in love with all variations of the sport!

This passion for hockey led her to become involved with the sport both as a player, and as a volunteer where she sat on various recreational hockey league boards, and also organized and coordinated a variety of private and community center oriented women’s-only hockey leagues.

When Satinder heard about the Grindstone Award Foundation, and their focus on growing the game of hockey for young females, she jumped at the opportunity to be involved. Playing hockey has impacted her life in so many positive ways, and she wants other females to be able to experience these joys as well!

When she’s not playing hockey, Satinder is spending time with family and friends, travelling, playing pickleball, experiencing the arts culture, and spending time on the trails in BC’s beautiful outdoors.
