My name is Donovan Wagner and I am a commercial photographer based in Kelowna, BC.
I grew up in Alberta, where I played minor hockey from age 4 all the way until I was 18 and also had the opportunity to play in the Inline World Cup in 2000. Growing up, hockey was a super important part of my life and it really helped shape who I am today. I believe minor hockey teaches young people about team work, work ethic and good sportsmanship when things don’t go your way.
Once I was out of high school I decided to go to work in the Oil and Gas industry of Alberta for almost 10 years before pursuing my dream in photography. I have since relocated to the beautiful Okanagan Valley in BC where I have shaped my skills and since had opportunities shooting across Canada and the US.
I am thrilled to be joining the Grindstone Award as their photo/video creator and travelling where ever possible to capture events and team content! I look forward to helping the Grindstone Award grow and help as many girls get on the ice as possible!
