Lifemark is extremely proud to be involved with The Grindstone Award Foundation as a Platinum Sponsor. This Charity focuses on providing young females across the country with the financial assistance to participate in the sport of hockey who otherwise would not be able to due to financial reasons. Both Lifemark and The Grindstone Foundation understand that sports cannot be a feasible option for many families for financial reasons, and it is imperative that girls who have a desire to play not be limited for these reasons.
As a company with many females who not only play or played hockey themselves, but are also in leadership positions within the company, Lifemark understands how important hockey can be towards having a positive influence and instilling indispensable values in a young girl’s life.
Hockey teaches selflessness, teamwork, discipline and builds confidence to pursue dreams. It is an avenue to success, whether it be through hockey to a professional and/or Olympic level, or utilizing the opportunities hockey provides to acquire an education through scholarships.
The sport of women’s hockey is growing annually, and with it come many more positive female role models for young girls to admire and be influenced by. Lifemark is grateful for the opportunity to partner with this charity and assist with influencing the next generation of strong, female leaders.
